Focus on problem determination, but also get hands-on skills that includes installation and configuration as it relates to servicing and supporting the product. Become familiar with how to support, install, and configure the IBM BladeCenter, including the first and second generation of the chassis (BladeCenter-E and BladeCenter-H). Gain familiarity on how to use IBM Director as a tool for BladeCenter. Complete a set of optional labs that includes; AIX on JS20, Solaris on HSx0, Linux and Service Aids on JS20, and Remote Deployment Manager (RDM).

This is a basic course for individuals who perform problem determination and removal/replacement procedures on IBM BladeCenter.

Use remote control and remote disk Command Line Interface (CLI)
Configure and recover blade server onboard Hard Disk Drive (HDD) mirroring (Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and Small Computer System Interface (SCSI))
Perform updates on BladeCenter chassis and blade servers (HSx0, LS20, JS20)
Use IBM Director as tool for BladeCenter
Use Serial over Local Area Network (LAN)
Support, install, and configure BladeCenter chassis and blade servers
Script and automate updates of BladeCenter and all of its components using Update Xpress and bladescanner
Use Management Processor Command Line Interface (MPCLI)
Perform BladeCenter data collection
Isolate problems using error log in Management Module
