Through lectures and machine lab exercises, learn how to recognize when an IBM DB2 stored procedure is the correct solution for an application, how to use the Development Center, how to CALL a stored procedure, how to create a stored procedure using Data Definition Language (DDL), and how to troubleshoot a stored procedure.
Learn about coding stored procedures in DB2 SQL Procedure Language (SQL PL) and Java. The exercises run on a Windows workstation, but are applicable to coding of SQL PL or Java stored procedures using the Development Center on all IBM DB2 platforms.
The exercises run on DB2 UDB Enterprise Server Edition (ESE) Version 8.
