Learn how to perform database administration using DB2 UDB in a multi partitioned environment on UNIX. If you already know how to administer a DB2 UDB database in a single partition environment, learn to administer a multi partitioned environment. This course addresses DB2 UDB V8.2.

Learn how to configure the multi partitioned environment, create and populate partitioned databases, design a database for parallel use, and use DB2 UDB utilities.

This course is intended for experienced DB2 UDB single partition DBAs who have current knowledge and experience on DB2 UDB on Linux, UNIX, or Windows.

This course addresses the product formerly known as DB2 UDB EEE.

No actual installation of DB2 UDB is performed in this workshop. Hands-on labs use a preinstalled system to exercise various administrative functions.

If you are an experienced DBA from another database product and need to learn about DB2 UDB in a multi partitioned environment, you should complete:

DB2 UDB Multi Partition Database Administration Workshop for UNIX (CF241).
