Learn the details of the use of Information Management System (IMS) utilizes that provide for Database Recoverability. The utilities covered in this class are those that are included with IMS for use with Full Function Databases. Reinforce the skills you have learned with machine labs.

This is an intermediate course for IMS database administrators and application developers, who have responsibility for the integrity of IMS databases.

prerequisites

You should have some understanding of IMS logging and the Utilities available for IMS Full Function Databases. This knowledge can be gained through attending the IBM IMS Physical Organization of Database Workshop (CM220 or CMW22) or equivalent work experience.
