Successful IT project managers consistently satisfy project stakeholders. Learn how to identify ALL of your stakeholders and how to meet their expectations, including some they haven’t told you about.

The course uses the case study methodology pioneered by Harvard University and includes practical exercises based on a real life IT situation which is used throughout the week. In addition, for the more time consuming areas, Microsoft Project will be used to demonstrate live examples of a Work Breakdown Structure and network diagrams.

Participants will be provided with templates of the major documents used by IT project managers, the Project Charter, the Project Scope Statement, the Project Management Plan as well as worksheets for the hands-on exercises. Managing IT Projects is based on the principles and theory of the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Third Edition, published by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
