Learn how to plan, design, install, and configure IBM's High Availability Cluster Multiprocessing (HACMP) 5.2 for AIX on the IBM eServer pSeries and RS/6000 platforms.

Learn how to configure the startup, fallover, and fallback policies of the HACMP product. Learn how to make configuration changes to an already existing cluster. Also, learn about event processing and change management.

This is an advanced course for experienced AIX system administrators with TCP/IP network skills and knowledge of shared disk technology who plan and install HACMP clusters on IBM eServer pSeries servers running AIX.
 
prerequisites
  
 
You should complete:

? AIX 5L System Administration II: Problem Determination (Q1316)
? AIX Ver. 4 System Administration IV: Storage Management (Q1220)
? AIX 5L Configuring TCP/IP (Q1307)

and ideally be skilled as an:

? IBM eServer Certified Specialist - pSeries AIX System Support or
? IBM eServer Certified Specialist - pSeries AIX System Administration

and have TCP/IP, Logical Volume Manager (LVM) storage, and disk hardware implementation skills.
