The goal is to enable participants to perform the tasks required to successfully complete a Siebel Business Analytics deployment.
This course is designed for those individuals on the implementation team who are responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data from Siebel applications and other data sources into the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse. The course teaches students about the architecture and contents of the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse. Students learn about the different methods used to modify the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse to support specific analytical application requirements, as well as how to weigh performance issues related to the various modifications.
This course offers an in-depth examination of best-practice data warehouse design concepts, covering the tools that are used to extract, transform, and load data from Siebel applications and other data sources into the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse. Students acquire hands-on experience with Informatica Server, its metadata repository, and the tools used to modify and manage the standard Siebel ETL process, including the Siebel Data Warehouse Administration Console. Students also learn how to improve ETL performance by extracting only a subset of data relevant to specific business needs, and how to customize the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse by extending the existing schema.
By completing this course, students will gain valuable insight into database design requirements and the trade-offs necessary to mutually support both high-performance analysis, and the loading and extending of the Siebel Relationship Management Warehouse.
This course is appropriate for Analytics 7.7 and 7.8. |
