Learn about IBM Tivoli Change and Configuration Management Database (CCMDB) that is an integrated productivity tool and database that helps you manage, audit, and coordinate the change and configuration management processes using user interfaces and workflows that are designed to facilitate cross-silo cooperation. IBM Tivoli Application Dependency Discovery Manager (ITADDM) is one part of this integrated tool. Deploy as a stand-alone product that enables you to identify and track changes to the computing infrastructure. This information will provide a foundation to support the additional functionality of the entire CCMDB product. The central component of ITADDM is the Configuration Discovery and Tracking (CDT) server that provides the ability to gather critical information about Information Technology (IT) infrastructure resources, including key attributes, their configurations, and their physical and logical relationships to other infrastructure resources. While working with ITADDM, you will see many references to CDT in the documentation and the program itself and this course will follow that convention. In practice, CDT and ITADDM refers to the same thing. This course provides information necessary to successfully implement ITADDM 5.1.1 in a customer environment. |
