This course provides students with the working knowledge required to program Java applications using Extensible Markup Language (XML). Through lectures and hands-on labs, students develop both conceptual and practical knowledge that enables them to use XML and related technologies in the context of building e-business applications.

This is an intermediate course designed for information technology professionals, including enterprise application architects, analysts, designers, developers, administrators, and content modelers and creators.

Before taking this course, students should complete course XM302, Introduction to XML and Related Technologies, or have equivalent experience. Students should also have a working knowledge of development using the Java language. Some experience with a Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is helpful, but not necessary.
