Essentials of Rational SODA for Microsoft WORD  (RS211)

This one-day introductory course teaches students how to use Rational® SoDA® for Word to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation for their software development projects. Students will learn how to use standard templates and create customized templates that gather project information from other software development tools, including Rational Rose and Rational RequisitePro®. Information will be presented in text, graphics, and tables. During hands-on labs, students will practice producing and maintaining documents, reports, and Web pages that the entire project team can use throughout the software development lifecycle.

  Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
 

  • Describe the project documentation processes

  • Explain the key concepts of using SoDA for Word to create documentation

  • Use the report and document template wizards that are shipped with SoDA

  • Publish documentation on the Web

  • Create and customize SoDA templates

  • Use integrations between SoDA and other Rational tools to produce documentation

  • Create graphics and tables in reports or documents.
