Where We Came From
ExitCertified Corporation opened its doors in November of 2001 with one four classroom training center in Ottawa, Canada, with a total of 8 employees, and one partner contract with Sun Microsystems. From day one the Principals made a decision to grow the business through only two avenues - geographically, and by partnering with software and hardware vendors. The focus is, and has always been, on offering high end vendor authorized education to enterprise customers in North America.

Four years later the company has grown in both Canada and the U.S. to six centers, twenty two classrooms and thirty eight full time employees. ExitCertified has currently earned authorized partnerships with Sun Microsystems, Veritas, Symantec, Oracle, Guru-Labs/Linux, IBM, and No Magic in a number of cities across North America. Being able to offer these education solutions with vendor certified instructors brings a tremendous amount of depth to the classroom experience. Current facilities are located in Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Sacramento, and San Francisco, with training provided globally.

2005 - A Continued Success Story
As we move forward, ExitCertified takes a look back at the year 2005, a milestone year in our ongoing development.

ExitCertified kicked the year off with a bang, achieving Authorized Sun Education Center (ASEC) status in Western Canada and the Prairie Provinces in January. This announcement set in motion a cross-Canada expansion, starting with new training centers in Vancouver and Calgary. This was a very exciting time.

While still in the third quarter, more good news came in March when ExitCertified was selected by Oracle University to become an Oracle Authorized Education Center. At this point ExitCertified was able to service a broader range of clients as well as increase training options for current clients. ExitCertified was now able to offer certified Oracle courses in topics including: Database, Application Server, Development Tools, Data Warehousing, all of which greatly complemented existing course offerings.

Despite rapid growth in the first half of the year, ExitCertified employees still had time to party. In July, ExitCertified joined Sun Microsystems in celebrating Java’s 10th Anniversary. We held parties at all our training centers – with prizes for students, cake, balloons and all, and with our Montréal center winning 1st place in the North America wide Java celebrations competition. In September, ExitCertified was very pleased to win recognition by an international magazine as one of the Top 50 Emerging Growth companies in Canada in 2005, an annual award that recognizes percentage revenue growth over a two year period. ExitCertified is grateful to its partners and dedicated employees for helping it achieve this award.

To top off the year, ExitCertified moved its San Francisco location to a larger, brand new center in the downtown San Francisco financial district. We also added a fifth classroom in Sacramento, California.

Looking back at a great year, there is also anticipation of the challenges and rewards in the New Year. ExitCertified will to continue to provide excellence in IT certified education in our current centers and to bring our winning formula to new markets. Here's looking at 2006!
