This course describes the administrative tasks common in maintaining a Siebel Remote deployment. It first describes the options available in configuring the server components and extracting the local databases, then goes on to describe how to customize local application behavior by editing the local application configuration file. Synchronization and security are covered in detail, including encrypting synchronization sessions and the local database.
Next, additional administration topics such as restricting the data or views available to a mobile client, deactivating, deleting, or moving a mobile client, and changing a mobile client's password are covered.
The course concludes with a description of dock objects and how they manage data extracted to remote users.
