Overview

This course is developed and owned by an IBM Authorized Global Training Provider: TechData Inc.

This (3) three-day course provides the skills required to use i2 Analyst’s Notebook as a tool in the analytical role the Analyst resides.
The course focuses on the Analyst developing an understanding of the program's interface and tools, methodology in constructing manual charts, basic techniques in importing structured data into Analyst’s Notebook and analytical techniques to conduct analysis to uncover relationships and associations. This course training curriculum insures the student has a basic understanding of how to use Analyst’s Notebook and its basic functions.

Audience

This course is specifically designed for the individual who is new to i2 Analyst’s Notebook and relevant for those who work in national security, law enforcement, customer intelligence and research.

Prerequisites

A basic understanding of and working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suites.

• Know the basic terminology used when working in Analyst’s Notebook
• Learn to Navigate in the interface of Analyst’s Notebook
• Understand how to create manual charts by creating entities and links in Analyst’s Notebook

Objectives

At the end of the course the attendees will be able to create charts based on all known information, and also understand how to use the analysis tools for searching and analyzing the information within a chart so they are equipped to solve their daily work tasks.

When does class start/end?

Classes begin promptly at 9:00 am, and typically end at 5:00 pm.

Does the course schedule include a Lunchbreak?

Lunch is normally an hour long and begins at noon. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice are available all day in the kitchen. Fruit, muffins and bagels are served each morning. There are numerous restaurants near each of our centers, and some popular ones are indicated on the Area Map in the Student Welcome Handbooks - these can be picked up in the lobby or requested from one of our ExitCertified staff.

How can someone reach me during class?

If someone should need to contact you while you are in class, please have them call the center telephone number and leave a message with the receptionist.

The course was very comprehensive and well instructed. It was evident that the facilitator believes in the product. Having the ability to follow along on the application and doing practical examples helps to retain the information presented.

Very good delivery skills and knowledge of the material. Pace of delivery is good, with frequent breaks so to reduce information overload.

The instructor was very knowledgeable, she was able to answer any and all questions we had. She was also very positive and upbeat, which helps to keep the attention of the audience. Overall, she was fantastic.

The flow of the course was a natural progression of the program. It was great that she did not read or go through the manual. Interaction and course knowledge was excellent.
