This Siebel Open UI Foundations training teaches you about the new Siebel Open UI architecture. You'll learn how the Siebel repository and metadata are made available to the browser client, as well as how to use the new client-side JavaScript application programming interface (API).
Learn To:
Introduction to Siebel Open UI
This course begins by explaining the new Siebel Open UI framework and its benefits and features. Expert Oracle University instructors then explain the overall architecture through lectures and hands-on activities.
Customize the Open UI Client
This section of the course explains the details of customizing through examples of customizing the manifest files (how files tie together), the presentation model (how to apply client-side logic) and the physical renderer (how to change the way the data is presented to the users). You'll also explore debugging techniques.
Apply Styling
Next, you'll learn the steps involved in changing the overall look and feel of the application using cascading style sheets, which are grouped into themes. Once themes are created, you can individually select the theme of your choosing. Finally, you'll learn how to implement customizations for mobile devices.
Learn through Hands-On Exercises
Expert Oracle instructors demonstrate how to use the new architecture through a series of examples. Please note that this course does not teach JavaScript, CSS or HTML. It's recommended that you have a background in Siebel Tools.

Excellent Instruction. Limited MVP- I wish I could have saved files, take snipping shots to save and email to myself.
Very good course materials. Maybe could have included a bit more on something like FPO but otherwise very good. Very good instructor and environment.
The course presentation and the material that accompanies the course were both very good. I learned many new important topics that can possibly be applied at my place of work.
Always received informative emails in plenty of time for the training session
Interesting real world examples and scenarios covered in the training, brought some new perspectives to light.
