Red Hat System Administration III (RH254)

Red Hat System Administration III (RH254), related to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, is designed for experienced Linux system administrators who hold a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification or equivalent skills and who want to broaden their ability to administer Linux systems at an enterprise level. The course is focused on deploying and managing network servers running caching Domain Name Service (DNS), MariaDB, Apache HTTPD, Postfix SMTP nullclients, network file sharing with Network File System (NFS) and Server Message Block (SMB), iSCSI initiators and targets, advanced networking and firewalld configurations, and the use of Bash shell scripting to help automate, configure, and troubleshoot the system. Through lectures and hands-on labs, students who have already earned the RHCSA certification will be exposed to all competencies covered by the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam.

  • Note A: This course does not cover all RHCSA tasks. Students who need a review of RHCSA skills are encouraged to attend RHCSA Rapid Track Course (RH199). Note B: for RH254R version of this course: This version of the course is our self-paced Red Hat Online Learning (ROLE) option, featuring online content, labs, and recorded webinars. Our Red Hat Online Learning option includes complete course content for both Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and 7.

Good in providing online courses and rescheduling was followed up very well, but the earbuds promised were not sent.

I really enjoyed the course. It was well designed given that it was online. I would recommend that the higher level courses be taken on-site, but this course was very thorough for those looking to get started with an AWS Certification.

Great course, the labs were the best part of the course because it helped the material and information really sink in. We did have issues with one of the labs not being correct though

Tommy was a great instructor. We relied on this class to develop our understanding, and we were very happy with the result.

Instructor was knowledgeable and made the course fun. He knew how to convey the new material to students in simple and understandable manner. Used terminologies and apologies understood by all students in the v.classroom.
