This course covers how to design job flows and schedule SAS jobs using the Platform Suite for SAS. The scheduled processes that are covered in this course include only user-written SAS code and SAS Data Integration Studio jobs. However, the concepts and techniques are applicable to SAS Web Report Studio reports, SAS Marketing Automation jobs, and SAS Marketing Optimization jobs as well.

The scheduling techniques covered in this course can be used in either a single-machine SAS server environment or in a SAS Grid environment. However, this course does not address SAS Grid topics apart from the scheduling component specifically. Grid topics are covered in the course SAS® Grid Manager Administration

  • define time or file conditions controlling when (or whether) individual jobs within a job flow execute
  • monitor job flow status, access job logs, and perform other management operations for scheduled job flows.

Who Can Benefit

  • SAS programmers and SAS administrators who are responsible for designing and scheduling flows that consist of one or more SAS jobs, which can include any or all of the following: user-written SAS code, SAS Data Integration Studio jobs, SAS Web Report Studio reports, SAS Marketing Automation jobs, or SAS Marketing Optimization jobs

This was an excellent class to get me up to speed quickly on AWS solution Architect concepts.

The class is a good review of the services available in AWS.

In my mind. Myles Brown is an excellent instructor. His teaching approach agrees with me. No discernible stress about public speaking. Very engaging.

Enroll in the course offerings? Will enroll at the drop of a hat if approved. To ask mgmt to approve enrolment is another matter for me. Nothing to do with your company. Just a statement of fact.

Maybe a course on Google and MS Azure like this will be nice. If you have alternative options to mgmt, it is more likely that they shall have to choose one. Allow us to enroll.

It's good for developers and those with technical backgrounds, but not for business personnel.

Well structured, easy to understand exercises. Some are more complex and need more context in order to fully understand.

I took the AWS Technical Essentials and it was taught very well. It was very comprehensive and the instructor was fantastic. Already having familiarity with AWS, it was still taught at a level where I felt like it was worth taking before doing taking the AWS Developer course.
