In this five-day course, you will explore the use of VMware vRealize Orchestrator 7.1 and VMware vRealize Automation 7.1 for the automation of VMware cloud infrastructure and IT processes.  This course focuses on extensibility and advanced administration through the use of vRealize Orchestrator workflows in vRealize Automation. Prerequisites  
This course requires the following prerequisites:
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere
  • VMware vRealize Automation: Install, Configure, Manage [V7] course or equivalent knowledge
  • Working knowledge of scripting or programming using JavaScript, Windows PowerShell, Perl, Java, Python, or similar languages

Objectives:   
By the end of the course, you should be able to meet the following objectives:
  • Describe the features, benefits, components, and integration of vRealize Orchestrator and vRealize Automation and the role of vRealize Orchestrator workflows and content elements in automation
  • Use the vRealize Orchestrator client to access and navigate the vRealize Orchestrator platform and to import and run library vRealize Orchestrator workflows
  • Design, develop, and run custom reusable vRealize Orchestrator workflows
  • Use VMware APIs in Orchestrator workflow scripts

Classes begin promptly at 9:00 am, and typically end at 5:00 pm.

Lunchtime?

Lunch is normally an hour long and begins at noon. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juice are available all day in the kitchen. Fruit, muffins and bagels are served each morning. There are numerous restaurants near each of our centers, and some popular ones are indicated on the Area Map in the Student Welcome Handbooks - these can be picked up in the lobby or requested from one of our ExitCertified staff.

What languages are used to deliver training?

Most courses are conducted in English, unless otherwise specified. Some courses will have the word "FRENCH" marked in red beside the scheduled date(s) indicating the language of instruction.

Tommy was a great instructor. We relied on this class to develop our understanding, and we were very happy with the result.

The course material was laid out logically. There are a lot of aws services and concepts to cover in the three days but overall was a good learning experience.

Setup for the training was easy and participants were mostly provided with the necessary things for continued learning, however, a couple people in my class dealt with technical issues with their virtual machines in the virtual training.
