How does ExitCertified get and keep great instructors?
Victor Torgrimson: At ExitCertified, we're passionate about finding and retaining the highest quality instructors. When we're interviewing potential new instructors, we're looking for individuals with exceptional knowledge and skills of the technologies that they work with. We're also looking for individuals with a passion and talent for teaching. A talent for teaching is equally important as their knowledge of the technology because it's exceptional teaching abilities that allow an instructor to effectively convey their experience to their students and help their students reach their career objectives. Finally, we're looking for an individual with a passion for learning. We're in an industry that's constantly changing, so it's important that the instructor be on their own journey of continuous learning. Equally important to finding good instructors is retaining them. The average ExitCertified instructor has 17 years of experience delivering classes and 27 years of practical IT experience. We retain great instructors by giving them a great environment to teach in, a talented support staff that helps them serve their students effectively, a workplace that supports continuous learning, and an enthusiastic environment that celebrates the importance of learning and helping our students succeed. What are the positive results of that?
Victor Torgrimson: The result of the great work and continuous learning that ExitCertified instructors do is very high student satisfaction. ExitCertified students report 97% satisfaction with instructor expertise and 96% satisfaction with instructor presentation. The results we get on end of class surveys have always been high, but they've actually been getting higher in recent years, probably because of the increased levels of seniority and experience due to our high rates of instructor retention.
