My name is Tarik Rukab. I'm a 26-year Microsoft certified trainer with ExitCertified and an Axcel Instructor-led Training. Today, I would like to briefly go over some of the certification roadmaps in the Microsoft Azure world. There are plenty of them between the administrative side and the development side. In this presentation, we'll primarily focus on the administrative side of Azure and some of the certifications we can achieve.
We have four levels: fundamentals, associate, expert, and specialty levels. Fundamentals are typically one-day classes that introduce you to some concepts and terminology, providing a foundation to build on. Associate courses are for administrators doing day-to-day operations. They range from three to five days, covering specific areas like networking or security.
To reach expert level, multiple exams are often required. Specialty certifications focus on specific areas of Azure, like Azure virtual desktop or security. Microsoft provides a PowerPoint deck available online with detailed information on certifications and paths to pursue.
Now, let's dive into the foundational level first, which consists of fundamental courses. These one-day classes, like AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals, introduce you to Azure Cloud, infrastructure, platform, and software as a service. AI fundamentals courses are also available.
Moving on to the associate level, we have courses like AZ-104 Azure Administrator and AZ-500 Azure Security Engineer Associate. These courses delve deeper into specific areas, such as administration or security, and each requires one exam for certification.
At the specialty level, we primarily focus on Azure virtual desktop. This course involves deploying and managing virtual desktop infrastructure in the cloud and requires one exam for certification.
Finally, we reach the expert level certifications. For administrators, this includes Azure Solutions Architect and Cyber Security Architect. These courses require prerequisite exams and cover advanced topics in Azure architecture and security.
To summarize, Microsoft offers a comprehensive roadmap for Azure certifications, catering to different skill levels and areas of expertise. I hope this overview helps you in pursuing your certifications and continuing your educational journey. Thank you for joining me today.
