Learn to leverage MinIO object store to build and deploy high performance applications including AI/ML, data lake and database across Kubernetes, public and private clouds and to the edge.

Developers, operators, administrators, and architects will learn the core skills to deploy, manage, secure, and scale MinIO object storage. By the end of the course, students will be able to set up a multi-node, multi-drive cluster onto bare metal, cloud or Kubernetes. Through hands-on labs, students will develop the skills to configure object lifecycle management, erasure code, active-active replication, advanced security features, and OpenID based access controls.

Skills Gained

Students completing this course will possess the skills to deploy MinIO object storage resources to improve system performance, scalability and portability across deployment architectures. Students can use their knowledge to create or transition existing workloads to MinIO object storage, such as analytics, data lake / data warehouse, and ETL pipelines.

Students will be able to deploy MinIO and connect applications to Minio object storage via the S3 API. They will also have core administration skills to secure, monitor, and scale out the MinIO infrastructure to enable fault tolerance and optimize performance.

Who Can Benefit

  • Application developers
  • System Administrators
  • Infrastructure Architects

Prerequisites

  • Basic knowledge of AWS S3 and the S3 API
  • Basic knowledge of the Linux environment including using the command line and shell scripting
  • Knowledge of traditional NAS/SAN file based storage systems, and HDFS helpful but not required
